Brief Answer:
Endoscopy advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I need a few clarifications
Was an upper GI endoscopy done to diagnose the ulcer or was the diagnosis made on the basis of your symptoms?

In case an endoscopy was not done I would suggest to get an endoscopy done. This would confirm if you have ulcers or its non ulcer dyspepsia.

I would also recommend to get a stool test for h pylori infection as chronic h Pylori infection can cause ulcers and ulcer like symptoms.and if the test is positive it can be treated with antibiotics.

I would advise to avoid alcohol, smoking, deep fried foods, carbonated drinks.

I would advise to continue a PPI medication like omeprazole daily for at least 8 weeks( in case youbare not on any medications)
Hope this helps
