Question: Hi I was just wondering I am on 20 mg citalipram and have the implant in but since last week I have had a brownish discharge loose bowels for 3 days I had about 2-3 days of stomach cramps lower back pain breasts were tender what is the chance that I could be pregnant?

I can understand your concern, though.

As such there is no interaction between citalopram with progestin Etonorgesterol (Implanon), then the chances of getting you pregnant are less.

Only if your implant is not working properly because of any reason and you will get pregnant on it, you should discontinue your pregnancy because citalopram causing lung and heart defect in babies.

So kindly consult your treating doctor and get yourself examined and rule out pregnancy.

So with the aynptoms im having i could be pregnant cause when i googled my symptoms only early signs of pregnancy came up

Your symptoms can be due to early sign of pregnancy or it can be due to side effect of a drug.

To rule out pregnancy, you should first go for a pregnancy test if you missed your period.
