Question: What are the visual identification factors for herpes. I have two small spots in my pubic region that are clustered together, at first I thought they were an ingrown hair or pimple but after research herpes I've kind of freaked myself out. I have t seemed medical attention as of yet.

Hi there.
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to Health Care Magic. I have gone through the details.

Herpes simplex virus 1 or 2 can present with tiny grouped vesicles (water filled lesions) .It may be associated with pain, discomfort, burning sensation or itching. These usually rupture into tiny ulcers. Usually they heal by themselves.

They are known to recur in the same areas.

Please upload Pictures of the lesions so that I can guide you better.

You can go for HSV 1&2 IgM and IgG Antibodies test.

You can get back for any clarification.

Thank you

I've upload two photos in the reports. There hasn't really been any pain other than pants/underwear rubbing against it.
