Question: I have had a sore throat, tried mouthwash..
Tried robatussin not able to keep things down.... Not even sips of water

For how many days you are suffering from this?
What all symptoms you are having (fever,sore throat, throat pain,cough, sputum,nasal congestion/block/discharge etc).
If there is significant throat pain, acute bacterial pharyngitis is likely which will need antibiotics.
Kindly get back soon with details.
Meanwhile avoid cold drinks,do warm saline gargles 6 to 8 times a day and take simple analgesics like ibuprofen if needed.

This is difficult to control without antibiotics. For such cases I usually gives antibiotics like azithromycin or amoxicillin+cloxacillin, along with antihistamines for about 5 days. Your doctor will guide you in treatment.
Meanwhile, to reduce congestion, you can take antihistamines like Levocetirizine 5 mg once daily and do steam inhalation 6-8 times a day. Also do warm saline gargles. For pain, take simple analgesics like acetaminophen or ibuprofen if needed.
Avoid exposure to cold and dust.
