Brief Answer:
If no walking problems, it is probably just a sprain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

If you are able to walk without any difficulty, or just some pain in certain leg and knee position, you are right, most likely it is just a sprain.

Keeping your knee at rest for few days and using NSAID such ibuprofen for example, to reduce any swelling and lower the pain, is recommended in such cases.

If the pain will persist after few days after above measures, or you notice any walking problem, you should consider consulting an Orthopedic surgeon and get examined further.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
