Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
I appreciate your efforts for medical consultation in so much distress.
Important aspects of your query are:
• 30 year old male
• Work in govt bank
• Complaints of: negative self image for short height (5'5''),
tiredness,
depression, low self esteem/confidence
• Exacerbation of symptoms while walking and communicating with others, Fear of being misbehaved and fear that people thinking bad about you in social situation.
It is important to know 5'5'' is not the cause of problems in your life. Even people with shorter height live comfortably. Main problem is negative self image and anxiety in social situation.
Your all symptoms (negative self image for short height (5'5''), tiredness, low self esteem/confidence, exacerbation of symptoms while walking and communicating with others, fear of being misbehaved and fear that people thinking bad about you in social situation) can occur in
social anxiety disorder in which people started worrying something and fear that others will scrutinize them. Due to that symptoms occur more in social situation (like walking and talking to others).
If these symptoms remain untreated than there is chances of developing depression like in your case.
Social anxiety occurs due to
neurotransmitters imbalance in brain most commonly involving serotonin neurotransmitter. You need treatment with
psychiatrist to treat your anxiety and depression. It is not clear if you received any treatment in past, but believe me people life changes after treatment.
There is need for treatment, if symptoms cause significant personal distress or affect personal/professional life like in your case. Both drug and non drug treatment like cognitive
behaviour therapy (form of
psychotherapy) are used for treatment. Choice of treatment depends on severity of symptoms, personal preference and availability of treatment.
In drug treatment two types of medicine used. For immediate relief of distress benzodiazepines group of medicines are used and for long term relief most commonly SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) are used. SSRI takes around 3-4 weeks to show its effect. All these are prescription medicines.
Non drug treatment like cognitive behaviour therapy (form of psychotherapy) also takes few weeks to show its effect.
So, take first step towards treatment and meet nearby psychiatrist for help. I believe you will be well soon.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow ups.
Wish you good health.
Regards,
