Question: I have had sharp pains in the center of my chest radiatting to center of my back. Just took 3 baby aspirins , I am feeling better after about 8 minutes. Should I be concerned? I have never had anything like this. Could it be gas?

Brief Answer:
heart disease should be excluded first.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

A sharp pain in the center of chest that radiated on back and it is relieved by aspirin need evaluation to exclude heart problems.

Acid reflux and gas can cause chest pains but usually the pain is not sharp ,doesn't spreads in back and is not relieved from Aspirin.
A possible cause for such pain might be a muscular spasm on chest but first heart disease should be excluded.

I would suggest to consult your physician. You need to do a cardiac check -up to exclude heart problems.
-ECG
-Stress test,
-Heart ultrasound

Hope it helps.

Take care,
