Question: I am having enlarged prostate 47.9x44x42.4 mms and weight 46.82 grams,accidentally detected 2 years back while doing ultrasound for gallbladder operation. Continuing .4 urimax .no symptom was there.serum prostrate antigen 1.187 ng/ml.Age 69 years,male.Some occasional pain at penis end is there .guess uti, starting phxine 500 mg

Here Phxine 500 is available instead 750mg.So I have started 3 per day for 7days.Is that ok

In ths situation we exercise our restraint and err on the side of the lower dose, and you can purchase 750 mg pills, however take them like this, instead of two 500 mg pills a day which loads a total of 1000 mg of Phxine into your body, I suggest taking the 750 mg pills and dividing them into 2 parts - each of 375 mg each. Take these 375 mg strength half/pills three times a day - which will be at acceptable levels. Believe me, hospitals and RN's do this all the time due to the lack of availability of a certain strength.
In fact, in many drug stores, you get a plastic pill divider device that fit's your palm for a few cents.
This is the happiest solution for you.
