Question: My wife is down with severe migrain pain on back of head and we are presently in Riyadh for office work. plz suggest

Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
Acute migraine attack responses to pain killers like naproxen, aceclofenac or paracetamol.
Triptans like rizatriptan, sumatriptan can also be taken for aborting the attack.
Take timely breakfast and lunch, avoiding fasting, excessive tea or coffee or chocolates.
Prophylaxis medications may be required if episodes are frequent.

Follow up: Dr. Neeraj Kumar (40 hours later)
Have taken Relpax 40mg 2 tab in last 24 hours and occasionally 2 tabs of Ace-proxyvon when pain is severe. Now the pain is more concentrated on neck shoulder joint and unbearable, plz suggest.

Pain killers with muscle relaxant like aceclofenac or diclofenac with tizanidine or thiocholchicoside can be taken.
Local pain reliever ointment or spray can be used too.
The migraine attack will cease in a day or two.
