Brief Answer:
More information needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

It is necessary for more information about your symptoms such was there any physical activity or weight lifting that triggered the pain, is there any distribution of pain in leg(s), is there numbness too?

In mean time Advil and heat applied locally together with rest is the right way to ease symptoms.

Awaiting for more information....

No straining or lifting. Onset of pain 24 hrs ago. When I start to walk after standing it feels like a catch in my back and I have to grab something to hold onto. Pain has not let up!

Should I seek medical help now?

Brief Answer:
Rest for a day or two.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

The pain may be of muscular origin.

Best thing to do first is to rest for a day or two.

If no improvement, then you should get evaluated medically.

Greetings.
