Brief Answer:
precautions advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Yes jock itch can be there and is more common in perimenopausal age group.
Take a note of the following -
- wear a cotton based underwear and change it daily
- put tablet clotrimazole 100 mg inside your vagina daily at night for 6 nights
- wash perineal region with vWash or any perineal wash liquid after bath
- use condom while having sex
- apply candid - B ointment twice a day for 7 days or till itching persists.
- get your blood sugar levels checked
In case itching persists or worsens then visit your gynecologist for examination because it can be due to atrophy due to lack of estrogen.
All the best.

Yes clotrimazole is available over the counter and I would like to know about the constituents of cream you are already applying.
Hygiene is a very important part.

the first cream is called vagisil. it has 5 percent benzocaine and 2percent resorcinal. then i went to a 1 percent clotrimazole cream. i have trying these these things for about 5 days now

Brief Answer:
leave both the creams

Detailed Answer:
Vagisil is a vaginal lubricant and will not help in jock itch.
Leave both the creams and rather follow the treatment I have mentioned in previous discussion.
Clotrimazole pessary is better than 1% cream.
Hopefully you will be relieved.
