Brief Answer:
Eczema is not an indication for that drug

Detailed Answer:
Hi.....Eczema us not an indication for that drug. It is true that it has got lots of side effects.

The trick of the management is keeping the skin moist and never allowing it to be dry. For this oil massage and lotions like Oilatum will help. Regarding cure options - eczema is a sort of allergy...allergies can only be controlled and can never be cured.

But usually kids grow out of it...that is as the age progresses, they become better.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome.

Any further clarifications in this regard is most welcome.

Wish your kid good health.

Brief Answer:
If it is weeping severe eczema then Cyclosporine is justified

Detailed Answer:
Hi....If it is weeping severe eczema then Cyclosporine (Psorid) is justified. In medicine it is always the risk benefit ratio which is seen than side effects alone.

If the doctor feels that the benefits of using a drug out weigh the risk then only he will prescribe a medicine.

After your question I have gone through the latest literature published world over. For children with severe refractory atopic dermatitis, it is suggested treatment with cyclosporine may be helpful. Alternative treatments for these children include phototherapy, azathioprine, or mycophenolate mofetil. These are called immunomodulatory agents and can be really helpful.

But...Skin conditions are best diagnosed only after seeing directly. I suggest you to upload photographs of the same on this website, so that I can guide you scientifically.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
