Question: I have been burping every few seconds most days and nights except when I am at work or talking a lot. I have tried every supplement, herb, prescription drug, and diet out there. Plus I have had 2 scopes and a barium swallow and an MRI and they have found nothing, any suggestions? This has been going on for twelve years, I am now 47 and I have depression and anxiety and take antidepressants and anxiety pills.,some nights I have to take a sleeping pill to get any sleep.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for your query
Sorry for the delay in responding
Well air swallowing is an involuntary process most of the time and anxiety worsens it so mental relaxation is very important.
Also may need to check with your gastroenterologist and if deemed necessary with your psychiatrist and counselor to put you on medication to reduce the sensitivity of your stomach
Best wishes
