Question: Hi I've had a chest infection over christmas been on clariyrimicin 500 mgs & 40 mgs steroids reducing 5 mgsafter a week my chest has flared up again but this time I've got psin in Lower back hips and sharp pains in legs especially my knees

In my opinion, you should get done chest x ray to rule out worsening of pneumonia.

Usually steroids are not given in acute infection like pneumonia. Steroids can actually flare up the infection.

You also said that your chest is flared up and you are having lower limb pain. All these suggest possibility of worsening of pneumonia.

So better to get done Chest X ray to rule out this.

So consult doctor and discuss all these.
