Suggest Treatment For Severe Acid Reflux

default
Posted on Thu, 21 May 2015
Question: I have acid reflux, which I treat with two ranitidine a day. The only rare time I get acid reflux is when I move off of my wedge pillow at night. But over the last two months, I have started to get it when I am sitting upright (which has never happened before) in my car driving on the freeway. I am not aware of any additional anxiety associated with driving, which I enjoy doing. My doctor says I should up my dose of ranitidine. What could suddenly cause this acid reflux in the sitting position?
