Brief Answer:
This is endometriosis causing sciatica symptoms...explained..possibly

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for the query to HCM,
If this is typical sciatica pain and it gets manifested only at the time of menstruation then its the endometriosis which is responsible for affecting the nerve roots which specifically causes symptoms when menstruation occurs.
Pain relief can be achieved temporarily by NSAIDS or even hot fomentation but if the endometriosis is so florid that its affecting your nerves then best would be to get a hystrectomy done and if that is not intended then you should be placed on continuous progesterone only pillls for at least 6 months to cause amenorrhoea and hence decrease in endometriosis which can thereby decrease the sciatica incidences.
You need to rule out by X-ray lumbosacral spine that there is no spondylolisthesis or lumbar spondylosis which are the most common reason for sciatica pain.
Please discuss the options with your physician and take an informed decision .
I hope i have answered your query in detail, 'Wishing you good health,
Regards
