Question: Hi. I fell down two steps and had pain in my right ankle. I have been icing it and swelling is decreasing. Now I have no pain when I am off it but pain on the top of my foot when I put weight on it.
Ankle seems to be ok but I am worried about the foot. Not painful to the touch.

Brief Answer: t
Soft tissue injury. Rest, analgesic, icing and elevation help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. In my opinion this is soft tissue injury. I wouldn't be concerned about it. Its treatment is rest, icing elevation and analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C help in recovery.

It is advisable to get x ray to rule out bony injury ( fracture) if pain doesn't settle down in a week.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
