Brief Answer:
Following solutions for unbearable RLS...

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

I have gone through your query and feel sorry for the situation you are in.

The very first thing in treating RLS (restless leg syndrome) is to identify what is causing it:
- (uncontrolled) diabetes
- diabetic neuropathy
- kidney problems
- anemia

So, I advise to get further evaluations to exclude kidney/anemia problems:
- complete blood work
- kidney/liver function tests
- abdominal ultrasound
- urine analysis

Once one of these problems will be diagnosed, specific treatment will be prescribed, which will lead to improvement of RLS symptoms.

To my opinion, most probably you are suffering of diabetic neuropathy (damages to the nerves due to diabetes). If this is your case, then, taking good control of your blood sugar levels is very important to get the symptoms improved.

The therapy consists in improvement the symptoms. Unfortunately, there is no definite cure. Some of my patients have had good improvement while following the advice below:
- schedule physio-therapy seances to massage your legs
- try to keep your legs in movement by walking at least
- follow a healthy diet
- avoid smoking/alcohol/coffee/energetic drinks
- contact a dietitian and start losing weight
- apply good sleeping habits
- the combination of hot compresses with cold-warm compresses can also help

Hope it was of help! Let me know if you have further questions!
