Question: I'm a black male, 48, 5'10" 155 lbs. I've been smoking crystal meth for18 months sometimes heavy sometimes not so much. Recently I also have been taking GHB quite often (two months off and on). Yesterday I thought I'd gotten something
In my left eye. It felt like a hair, I rinsed and noticed a small atrand of white goop approx 1/8th of an inch maybe a little longer. I soon figured out that their isn't anything in my eye but the goop. I apply eye tears and tilt my head so it runs to the Cununcula and I dab it out with a tissue. It was happening last night sporadically but today it gotten worse especially when I went outside to walk my dog (an 11 year old Schnauzer I've had for nine yrs). It was XXXXXXX and very windy with a temp in the low to mid 70's. I also use reading glasses now as I can't read normal print without them (like ingredients at the grocery store. Standard book print eft. Glass for about a year now but lately there has been. A pressure on my eyes which I noticed makes me squeeze my eyes shut to get relief? Please help, the discharge has been for less than 24 hours but has progressed to the point that it almost requires constant attention.

Brief Answer:
It is conjunctivitis of eyes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
Welcome to Health care Magic
Iam Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

I reviewed the history and photo attached with the query.
This seems like acute conjunctivitis with left eye showing more redness and discharge than right eye. The treatment of the condition is by use of antibiotic eye drops. I prefer to use broad spectrum antibiotic eye drops like moxifloxacin 6 to 8 times per day depending on the severity.

Coming to other things in your history,
Since you have been using crystal meth and GHB, these are known to cause dryness of eyes you need to use artificial tears eye drops along with the antibiotic eye drops. After 40 years of age it is normal to have difficulty in reading small letters and it is called as presbyopia and this requires use of spectacles. This is normal and age related hence no need to worry about this.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
