Brief Answer:
For how long has this spot been there?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for the image.

The spot is clearly visible. My approach would depend on the duration. If this is a recent observation, then monitor again for another 4weeks because most benign spots would regress significantly.

If this has been there for more than 2months, I will recommend that you get it checked out. The bright colored nature makes it likely not to be cause by an infection or any concerning possible kin cancers but more likely to be related to irritation and trauma.

Let me hear from you on this. I wish you well.

It has been their for about 2 and 1/2 months. I am not aware of any trauma or irritation. What would be the possible treatments? What professional should I
see?

Brief Answer:
I will recommend that you get this examined by your primary care doctor!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up details.

What I really want at this time is a closer examination. I will want your primary acre physician to look into this. If there are reasons to get you to a specialist, he would do that. However, if you must see a specialist at this time, a dermatologist would be the best person to contact.

I hope this answers your query. I am willing to provide any more details if you so desire and request for.

How do I talk with a dermatologist on this list? I can send them the info again. I would like to get an opinion before I go to a doc here.

Brief Answer:
GO to list of specialists and select dermatologist!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up.

I could have given you an opinion but when the lesion is not very clear, we want to be very sure of what is goingon before making suggestions. We can provide answers from a distance when they are very typical and when they are not, we prefer in person examination and possible laboratory investigation.

In your case, I can make a number of suggestions. Some may cause anxiety and others not. But because we want to get it right and not cause unnecessary panic and more so if there is no reason to, seeing, feeling and seeing from different ankles is necessary. I will strongly recommend that you take the option of an in person examination.

However, you still have the chances to ask a new specialist query tagging specifically a dermatologist!

Hope this makes sense. I wish you well.
