Question: I am trying to blow my nose, but every time I do, the air goes into my mouth and I can't blow anymore. I have tried different positions and blowing softly. I have had numerous sinus infections and one surgery to remove a mass in the Left auxiliary XXXXXXX Should this be happening and how do I get the gunk out if I cant blow?

Brief Answer:
nasal saline/tissues/see doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
First this should not be happening. I am concerned that you have some abnormality in the anatomy of your nose or sinuses. That can only be determined by physical exam so you need to see your doctor about this.
If you are having recurrent sinus infections it is important to use nasal saline spray 4-5 times daily to flush out allergens from the sinuses.
You can use tissues to clean out your nose and use the saline to flush out your sinuses if you are not able to blow your nose.
Please see your doctor or an ENT physician to get an exam of your nose and sinuses soon.
