Suggest Treatment For Rectal Bleeding

Question: I am a 73 year old women and I woke up this morning with bloody stools when I used the bathroom.
I take several medicines but nothing new, I I have been on the blood-thinner, Eliquis, for A-Fib. Also if I even scratch my skin I have blood bruises. I have been taking this medicine for about 8 mos.
Should I treat the rectal bleeding as an emergency?

Having rectal bleeding particularly when you are on blood thinner requires urgent attention.
This requires urgent measuring of Prothombine time and INR as it is very likely might have increased giving rise bleeding tendency.
As you get bruise while scratching again an indication of increasing INR.
Consult immediately to your cardiologist and get examined.
There are all chances of having bleeding from any part of body, either internal or external.
After report of Ptb and INR dose of blood thinner can be adjusted as advised by your treating doctor.
