Question: I have staph cellulitis on my lower leg. It started out big and red but now it's slowly getting growing smaller but also turning shades of purple and black. Is it healing or getting worse?

Brief Answer:
No need to worry if there is no fever and decrease in pain and tenderness

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
If the pain and redness has decreased and there is no fever or other systemic complaints then you don't have to worry about the colour changes as it is definitely healing. If the pain and tenderness increases along with fever then you need to consult a doctor.
I hope to have answered your query.
Wish you good luck.
