Brief Answer:
Plantar fasciitis

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You have been told that you have plantar fasciitis. This is inflammation of the tendons of the foot. The are several treatments. The most common is taking anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or naprosyn. If that does not help then injection of steroids may help. Lastly surgical procedure to lengthen the tendon.

These are the traditional ways to help plantar fasciitis.

Non traditional way is physical therapy to stretch the plantar tendons, Sometimes a special taping method that a therapist can show you may help stretch that tendon. Shoe inserts designed for your foot may help and are custom made orthotics so are very expensive but also help.

In summary
1. NSAIDs
2. Steroid injections
3. Surgery
4. Physical therapy
5. Taping of the foot and plantar surface
6. custom made orthotics
