Question: I have joint pain in wrists and fingers but particularly in my ankles and toes, dry red eyes, and dry itchy skin. What could be going on with my body?

Your symptoms could be separate or they could be part of one illness. Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune problem that can cause dry eyes, dry mouth, fatigue, and joint pain. To diagnose this I recommend you see your doctor who can order certain antibody and inflammatory tests (see here: https://www.sjogrens.org/home/about-sjogrens/diagnosis). If these indicate a likelihood of Sjogren's, your primary doctor may want to refer you to a rheumatologist for help with this.

Another possibility is that you may have some osteoarthritis causing the joint pain, and new allergies, causing the dry red eyes.

But given the combination, I think it is important to rule out Sjogren's as a possibility.
