Suggest Treatment For Persistent Lower Back Pain And Cramps In The Ankle

default
Posted on Thu, 11 May 2017
Question: I have recently started getting lower back pain and sometimes cramping in my right shin and ankle area. I don't workout like I used to. I used to experience acid reflux. Could that be gas? I don't pass it like I used to. I'm 40yr old male and healthy otherwise. I don't want to keep popping pain meds because that's not a solution. I would appreciate any advice you can offer.

Brief Answer:
Need further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thank you for asking HealthCareMagic.
I read your concern carefuly .

The symptoms you describe : back pain, shin and ankle cramps is not neccesary related to any possible gas problems .

These concer could be related to the possible conditions: arthritis, nerve pain( like a pinched nerve, spinal cord ) or muscles pain.

If the pain does not go away during the next few days, would recommend to do some physical examiantion ( examine your back, muscles, nerve functions, )by a local doctor and do some blood test if its neccesary X-Ray. .Its neccesary in your case to find out the real cause of your symptoms for a proper treatment .
For the acid reflux if you still have symptoms : Follow a healthy lifestyle.
Avoid spicey ,fried food ,no alcohol , no cigarette, no coffe, eat small meals .
Ibuprofen may worsen acid reflux. You can take Ranitidine ( antihistamine drug) in the same time with ibuprofen to avoid acid reflux.

If ibuprofen makes the pain goes away you can use until you meet the local doctor .

Hope i have answered your question.
Let me know if you have any further clarifications, I will be happy to help.
Take Care!
