Suggest Treatment For Persistent Headaches After Cold And Allergy

default
Posted on Mon, 4 May 2015
Question: I have a persistent headache usually after a cold or allergy. When there is no cold - no headache. Ache in the left occiputal area spreading to the front of the head. My eosinophil count is 08%. BP- 110/78, Sugar PP- 106, Height 180 cms, weight 78 kgs, Age 58 years. Since treatment with painkillers gave only relief for the last 1 year, the doc linked the headache to the cold/allergy cold. I have been advised Banocide forte(100mg) 1-1, for three weeks. The side effects of banocide show headache. Will my headache worsen?

Brief Answer:
Yes the headache can worsen

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.

I understand your concern.

Yes headache can worsen with Banocide forte.

But this effect will only be on interim basis.

After finishing the Banocide course,I advise you to go for FES-functional endoscopy of your sinuses by consulting an ENT surgeon.

This will assess the severity of your Chronic sinusitis and help towards definitive treatment guidelines.

Thank you.
