Question: my daugher is 18, she has been dizzy for 4 weeks. She has pressure on her forehead, ears are clogged and was hurting below the eyes and we thought it was a Vertigo but the doctor said its lasted too long so it cant be that. Then we went to emergency and they think its a sinus infection, but amoxicillian isnt helping. she cant stand the light at all and she wants to be in the bedroom laying down in the dark. She doesnt have a cold or anything. Its just pressure in her head and ears. She had to pull over while driving because she thought she may faint. When she came home she threw up. They just checked her urine and did an EKG and said it was all normal. She is dizzy everyday, light headed and cant leave the house. She cant stand it.Sensitive to noise and light.

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised, Get examined by a neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
This dizziness, headache and sensitivity to light or sound can be due to migraine headache with associated stress too.
She should take plenty of Fluids and fruits.
Avoid bright light, loud noise.
Take timely breakfast and meals.
Avoid excessive tea, coffee or chocolate.
Medications like amitryptiline or propranolol or Flunarizine or Topiramate or divalproate can be tried.
In my patients I prefer Flunarizine 10 mg once daily and amitryptiline 10 mg once at bed time.
Pain killers like Naproxen can be taken too.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
