I have been attempting to get an appointment with a MH physician and have had little luck due to months long wait for appointment. I have only 3 lorazapam pills letf and last week had a relapse on alcohol. It has been 3 days since my last drink and I did not know if a prescription could be made for an anti anxiety drug until I am able to get into a MH appointment.

Brief Answer:
Prescription can not be made online

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing through HCM.

I have read your query and understood your concerns regarding getting a prescription for lorazepam until you get an appointment with your MH physician.

If you are really getting panic attacks then you should be taking antidepressants, benzodiazepins won't work for long. You shall develop tolerance to it rapidly and need higher dose of anxiolytic effect.

Taking alcohol even for an occasion will make your anxiety worse. In my patients I would have asked to stop intake of alcohol.

Regular monitoring of BP is advisable for you. Alcohol increases the risk for cardiovascular diseases, you should be aware of this.

This site does not give prescription and they are not valid even in your state and country. We just give opinion and solve query, so that clients can better discuss their problems with their physicians.

My final comment would be to stop alcohol and get proper psychiatric evaluation for panic disorder. If needed take antidepressant drugs after consulting a psychiatrist. Don't take benzos for longer duration.

Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have further query then close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wish you good health.
