Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You have probably got soft tissue injury to your knee along with ligaments stretching. Treatment of it is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen. Icing and splinting is helpful. Consulting a Orthopedician will be useful.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Yes to confirm tissue tearing.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
Yes if anyone wants to see whether there is damage then it can be examined clinical but MRI is confirmatory. But at this moment primary treatment is rest and analgesic. I think MRI is not necessarily at this moment. It will be required if further surgery is planed to confirm the tissue tear if any.
Everything else already discussed.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
