Brief Answer:
ensure well hydrated, consider muscle relaxant, stretch and exercise area

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The pain from a cramp can be excruciating.

Muscle cramp may be due to: (1) electrolyte disorders , most commonly sodium, potassium, calcium or magnesium

(2)side effect of medication

(3)trauma to the muscles or muscle fatigue

(4)deficiency in some vitamins

(5)nerve related eg diabetes, spinal cord injury eg arthritis, dislocated disc

(6)dehydration

If you are currently using any medications then you may need to review them to see if muscle pain or cramps are possible side effects.

If you are not using any related medications then other causes should be considered.

Continue to drink fluids to make sure that you are well hydrated.
Using a muscle relaxant may help eg flexeril, XXXXXXX robaxin, baclofen.
Benzodiazepines (ativan, diazepam etc) also act as muscle relaxants.
Stretch and exercise the foot by bending at the ankle and turning from side to side as much as possible.

If the cramps continue, you may need to consider visiting your doctor for examination, blood tests to assess electrolytes and vitamin levels.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
