Question: I July 2013 I was hospitalized for a tour and urethra that had gone untreated until such time as my penis to painful and recognizability, and testes swelled to incredible size gigantic and torturous for portions. I was given a foley catheter and also had a suprapubic catheter installed at that time.

Before we catheter was removed the three week mark, and I was sent home. The suprapubic catheter remade for another month and a half. In order to get my strength back I took very steroids: Trenbolone, Anavar, Sustanon, testosterone of various esters, etc etc.

I had done maybe four or five total cycles in the past and she's extremely good results. However this time, I start to develop hope you sores that were dramatically worse and in places where I've never had them before. And when I they were tremendous in size, horribly painful, seem to last for eight or nine weeks each they would normally I would have it and I'll break it would last for two weeks but I literally had the same patch growing like mushrooms for two months almost 3 months I finally switched a fan of year and thought they gave some small relief.

The question is did the surgery, The post surgery steroids, or something else cause these herpes sores to start to develop so dramatically worse than they ever did before? I'm 52 years old have had herpes since I was 17.

Brief Answer:
Either secondary bacterial infection Or underlying Immunodeficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query and I have understood your concern.

There could be 2 reasons for severe & prolonged, recurrent episodes of genital herpes.

-Secondary bacterial infection of genital herpes can worsen the sores, prolong the episode as well as delay healing.

-Another reason for severe prolonged recurrent episodes of Genital Herpes is underlying Immunodeficiency e.g HIV or other forms of immunodeficiency.

I suggest that you get yourself screened for HIV.

That is scary - I have not had a test in a couple years I will get tested immediately. However what about the issue of steroids suppressing immune response?

Also, this these were herpes on my face - if that mahes a difference

Brief Answer:
Kindly upload a few Images

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

The steroids that you used were anabolic steroids rather than immunosuppresive in nature and I dont think that they would make herpes worse.

Can you upload a few clear digital Images of skin lesions. I want to have a look whether they were indeed herpes.

You may upload an Image either at "Reports Section" Or else you may mail me the Images at YYYY@YYYY with the subject line of this mail as Attn:Dr. Kakkar.
