Brief Answer:
Most likely tennis elbow.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You are most likely to be having tendinitis ( most probably tennis elbow) . Treatment of it is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen for relief. To give rest to elbow you can use use splint. It is advisable not to use left forearm and hand in day to day activities and work as far as possible for few weeks. In resistance cases I found local application of injection triamcilone along with analgesic and rest with very good results in patients coming to my clinical. You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
No ,splint is not necessarily at all.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
No , splint is not necessarily at all. Its purpose to rest the forearm. So minimum possible work with effected forearm is advisable.
Everything else already discussed.
