Suggest Treatment For Pain Around Anus While Having Constipation

default
Posted on Thu, 9 Jun 2016
Question: I am having pain centered around the anus. I do not have bleeding. I am taking medicines for constipation. The pain seems also to radiate out to the upper muscles in the thigh making it difficult to stand up from a sitting position. After sleeping at night the pain is less but as the day goes on the pain is more noticeable. Standing is a relief mechanism. I had a cat scan and they said it showed gallstones but I have not had a consult with a gastro doctor yet. On my colonoscopy there were no polys but I have had small cell b type lymphoma in the large intestine. It is currently in remission. The report also mentioned that I do have hemorrhoids . I have had radiation treatment for lymphomas in the lymph nodes around the anus in 1997. I do have CLL diagnosed in 1992. I have had high white ells treated by diminishing the enzyme needed for all cell reproduction. I have had Hodgkin's which was treated with chemo as was the B-Cell.

Brief Answer:
maybe from hemorrhoids

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

I understand that you had lymphoma in large intestinal region treated by radiation and chemo, hodgkin lymphoma treated by chemo and also CLL which is on observation. From your description it is not clear if you are on any drugs for CLL.

Now the pain in anal region is probably unrelated to both of above. CT scan and colonoscopy are clear, so cancerous causes ruled out. Hemorrhoids are there, there can be some fissure as well. These can explain the pain.

You can get warm water perianal baths which can relieve the pain. Also local application medicines.

Overall, doesn't look like something serious.

Hope this helps.
Regards
