Question: Went jogging on a trail this morning. I twisted my foot moderately on a rock while running downhill a high rate of speed. I continued to run home with light pain and discomfort for another 2+ miles. I've iced it several times but pain is now getting worse. I'm about 6 hours post run now.

Brief Answer:
Take Tylenol and Ibuprofen!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this twisted ankle. For now, I would like to think that you only sustained a soft tissue injury. Pain medications(Tylenol and Ibuprofen), rest and ice would help. If the pain persists despite these measures beyond 48 hours, I will suggest that you get the leg examine and probably an xray done to evaluate the joint. Please, avoid putting weight on this ankle for now.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. I wish you well.
