Brief Answer:
Glucosamine and Mecobalamine are of help.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Many diseases such as heart disease, kidney disease and lumbar spondylisis can lead to such symptoms . I wanted to know which condition you were diagnosed with five year ago?

You need to get your heart and kidney function test. Gabapentin is not working. As you are likely to have lumbar spondylosis so you are likely to be benefited by glucosamine and Mecobalamine. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. If ibuprofen is not effective you can take tramadol after prescription from your doctor as it is a prescription medicine.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Sorry to be so long in answering.
What you said was astonishing, especially about the spondylosis. I have always had problems with my lower back. I don't have a lot of pain all the time, but some discomfort and a feeling of stiffness.

About 10 years ago I suddenly like night and day lost bladder control. When I go it is like a flood. That after having a lifetime of perfect cogntrol. Sometimes I had too much control following surgeries having to be catherized.

My diagnosis 6 years ago was peripheral neuropathy of my feet and lower legs. After blood tests it was determined the cause was a dirth of B12. My uncovered feet often feel like I have concrete boots on them. I also have the swelling, redness, tingling, burning, oftimes pain. Sometimes I feel like I am walking on balls usually when my feet and ankles are swollen. Wearing socks makes my feet feel more normal.

After I was diagnosed I looked up about the peripheral neuropathy and I had all the symptoms for quite a few years.

I can't take ibuprofen since I take warfarin for atrial fibrillation. I can only take Tylonel -- sometimes it helps, many times not.

Isn't Tramadol a narcotic?

I am going to look up the two products you have recommended and will get back to you. I believe Glucosamine is something like a vitamin supplement, is it not?
The other I do not recognize, but will look it up on the computer.

Thank you much for your time and information. I will return.

Brief Answer:
Mecobalamine is a form of vitamin B12

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back

You are likely to be having lumbar spondylosis as it is common in your age. It can be confirmed by x ray and MRI of lumbar spine. Glucosamine can be helpful in it. It is food supplements which is beneficial in degenerative ( age related) changes of joints such as arthritis and spondylosis.

6 years back you was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy cause of which was found to be deficiency of vitamin B12. Mecobalamine is helpful in it. Mecobalamine is a form of vitamin B12. You are having heart problem(atrial fibrillation) . So your problem are combined due to heart and neuropathy. Neuropathy is due to vitamin B12 deficiency and compression of nerves due to lumbar spondylosis may be contributing to it.

For pain relief as you cannot take ibuprofen so you can take Tylenol. If it is not effective you can take tramadol after discussion with your doctor. Tramadol is a narcotic analgesic. Two of products I already said that glucosamine is food suppliment and Mecobalamine is a form of vitamin B12.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Everything else already discussed.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

I have looked up the two supplements, and I actually had purchased recently the mecobalamin that was the vitamin b12. I will start taking it on a regular basis. I will get some glucosamine to take.

I looked up the spondylosis and it did seem to apply.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful answers.
