Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Dizziness And Occasional Heart Palpitations

default
Posted on Tue, 23 Jun 2015
Question: Good morning. On Monday I started feeling very dizzy. No other complaints except some nauseousness from the dizziness and occasional heart racing. It persisted through Tuesday. Today I'm not dizzy, but my vision seems strange. The only way I can describe it is as if it's closing in around the periphery. I have no headache, numbness or tingling. I am 51 years old. Active. In good health.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Since your dizziness has improved after lasting for a day,I assume your strange vision(as you described closing in around the periphery) is also a transient phenomena and it should improve soon.

We tend to have such transient symptoms, when we are exhausted or under a lot of fatigue.Anxiety is another factor which can precipitate these symptoms.

I suggest you to take adequate rest, take plenty of fluids(at least 4 litres per day) and do mental relaxation exercises like meditation/Yoga.These symptoms should improve.

If the symptoms persist, then eye examination by an ophthalmologist is advised.

However, keep me updated about the further course of the symptoms.

Hope that I have answered your query for now.If you have any further queries,I shall be glad to answer else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.

Regards
