Brief Answer: myositis Detailed Answer: Hi, I am Dr Alok, please to answer your health related queries. As you describe, it seems that your mum have myositis, it is a well treatable condition. She must see a rheumatologist as soon as possible. This disease can be treated by steroid and steroid sparing drugs. There is very remote chance that you develop this disease. No precaution required. Hope this will help Regards Dr Alok

Brief Answer: main drug is methotrexate and steroid Detailed Answer: Hi , There is no specific diet for myositis. Physiotherapy can be decided only after clinical examination and depending on the patient's exercise tolerance levels. Two most commonly used drugs are steroids and methotrexate. Other drugs are hydroxychloroquinine, etc. Regards
