Suggest Treatment For Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome And Fibromyalgia
Question: I suffer from ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia. I think my antidepressant has stopped working. I'd like to know which drugs you would suggest. XXXXXXX Lyrica, Cymbalta? Other? Are you able to give me a prescription?

You are a 65 years old female and have long history of depression along with other medical illnesses. You are also suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The anti depressants are not helping much.
CFS has multiple etiology psychological and medical factors both are responsible for such symptoms. Medicines like SNRIs as Duloxetine (Cymbalta), Milnacipran help to improve symptoms related to pain and fatigue. The drugs are free of side effects and approved for use in CFS.
Along with these drugs medicines like you have mentioned as Lyrica (Pregabalin) can help to supplement the treatment and will help in improvement of symptoms.
Apart from this I would also advise you to take Vitamin B12 and Omega 3 Fatty Acids supplements. These supplements will help to reduce the symptoms.
You can discuss with your psychiatrist for prescription of these drugs. As due to legal hassals we can't give you detailed prescription.
