Suggest Treatment For Musculoskeletal Pain In A Diabetic

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Feb 2017
Question: I am experiencing aching pain in lower front pelvic area the last several days. Also, when riding over bumpy roads, it feels like a pulling sensation in that area, like spasms. I have no other symptoms at this time. I am diabetic and urinate regularly. I am 62 years old. I had a bladder sling put in when I had a full hysterectomy in 2001. Could it be something to do with that sling?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
It is likely to be a musculoskeletal pain as it is worse when riding over bumpy roads.
A person with diabetes can have a urinary infection without the typical burning sensation. So it is good to get your urine examined just to avoid overlooking an easily treatable condition.
If the sling has developed a problem, you may have other symptoms like hesitancy, urgency or incontinence.
Try taking an analgesic till you have an examination by a doctor.
