Brief Answer:
Not anxiety, Genuine medical symptoms. need Treatment

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. I disagree with the doctor i am afraid. No anxiety can lead to mucus filled diarrhea . Neck and shoulder pain can be considered a sequelae of this diarrhea as a fatigue and lethargy presentation or be assessed for separate entity. Cough will resolve but work up to rule out any chest infection or airways involvement is necessary.

For diarrhea i would suggest get a stool routine exam and let them find ova or parasites, leukocytes or any other significant pathology if any . Meanwhile Over the counter imodium or lomotil along with dietary precautions like ONLY BRAT diet ( Banana, rice, applesauce and toast) till full recovery. You may also take green herbal tea and pomegranate juices. Oral rehydration solutions like pedialyte are very necessary.

For shoulder and neck pain get some ibuprofen and skelaxin. Rest for a while. I ams ure that issue will resolve. If persists you may need some work up to rule out any nerve compression at cervical vertebrae a commonest cause. One other possibility is a gastric or biliary pain that refers to shoulder and neck. Ultrasound to rule out any gallstones would help.

For the cough that needs symptomatic treatment. HOney mixed herbal tea and warm soothing beverages like tea and coffee etc will help. If you have acidity problem cough could be a result of that as well as the shoulder pain.

Nutshell, do as directed, Once diarrhea resolve, pain and shoulder and cough will resolve too with management and if not go for work up.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan

Brief Answer:
bronchitis sequelae

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me
Now that you mentioned smoking history and recent bronchitis treatment and breathing problems this pain is the sequelae of this bronchitis . Quitting smoking a week ago is good but it will take time to clear it's adverse effects.

You need bronchodilators for adequate oxygenation of bronchioles and alveoli of your lungs and also some antibiotics for complete eradication of bronchitis and some anti inflammatory for the pain.

Talk to your pulmonologist and let them decide what is best for you. Meanwhile continue good habits, out door activities, exercise , breathing fresh air using humidifier at home etc.

I hope it helps. .
