Question: I feel a sort of lump in my throat making me want to gag and with a lot of burping

Hi,
I suspect there is acid reflux happening from stomach to food pipe making you feel as a lump.
At this stage we need to examine in the lump with naked eye with the help of an instrument called Larynogoscope.
I suggest to meet an ENT surgeon.
Till then you should take Omeprazole 20mg twice daily before food. IT can be available as PRILOSEC OTC in any pharmacy.

There is not thing very particular but would restrict coffee, mint, tobacco, onions. Eat small meal and do not end up filling the stomach.
