Question: Hi,Very tired and apetite loss after startn physical job. What can help with energy and will protein drinks help + help for extra nutrients. Thx

what kinda physical job? are you eating fine? don't skip your break fast you can use coffe medium strength twice a day to stay active, eat according to your physical activity never under eat.... yes protein drinks can help in improving your neutrition status as most of them have salts and vitamines too in them

I work at a horse stud. Lots of lifting, fast walking etc. i am still eating. Just less like a quater what i used to eat. I dont eat breakfast coz it makes me feel sick as soon as i wake up. I could only stomach light things so what would u recommend. And i have never heard of coffe, what is it?

Important points to consider:

1- Your body is finding it difficult to cope up with energy and work load demands of your job. Get routine blood tests done to rule out common conditions that can cause weakness.
2- More the body works more the energy it needs through food.
3- As you said you are eating less, this is indeed effecting your balance between energy demand by your body and energy supply given through food intake.
4- It will take time to make your body strong enough to get along with your job.
5- We will have to devise our a rough outline of what foods you should eat.
6- You GOT TO HAVE the breakfast because our body is in energy savour mode after long fast of night in order to activate it we have to switch the metabolism button on by food.

FOOD:
Here i will give you some outline of what foods you need to make you strong plus make you get instant and long term energy whole day long.

Breakfast:

It's important as i told you the reason why it shouldn't be skipped. A rush of energy is required to help both your body and mind to work. It's importance can be told by the fact that the moment you told you weren't feeling well i directly asked you not to skip breakfast that's how big it is a reason for people to feel tired. You just can't were well on energy saving mode.

what can you take in break fast?

Anything which doesn't make you feel sick ..a perfect breakfast is a good combination of proteins and carbohydrates with some instant energy.

Drink a couple of glass water,A cup of coffee with XXXXXXX bread two boiled eggs or if they make you sick you can go for chicken piece or steak,tuna sandwich, red beans and cucumber salad with boiled chicken flakes,or any protein thing which you feel like eating.. XXXXXXX bread will give you long term energy and protein will aid your body. Drink milk if you feel like or keep milk for the night ,just before bed.

You told me you can only stomach light things , its alright try different things and recipes and make a list of what goes well with your stomach and routine.If you can't eat right out after waking up just drink some juice or coffee, make your meal and take it with you to work. eat there but do eat something in early morning hours to activate your body.

How much should you eat:
Don't stuff too much if you take three meals a day make it five small meals a day.

Salad can be taken through the day with some fresh juice ... juice has fast releasing energy , and salad will make your food bulk. Add red beans corns green vegetables and cucumber to your salad add spices lemon juice to make it taste good.

in night you can have protein shake there isn't any issues if you take a protein shake meal during your job it will replace your salt and give you fast releasing and slow releasing proteins. I can recommend you Met-RX blend as per my personal experience goes.

What extra diet /supplements can be taken ?

1-Protein shake.
2-Centrum multivitamin.
3- Salt replacement drinks like Getorade after heavy exertion.
4- Juices for instant energy.
5- Coffee to energize your mind and make you active.
6- Increase protein in your diet like fish,redbeans,chicken ,etc,,,you can learn some recipes like tuna or chicken sandwiches etc which may taste better and you feel like eating them in morning.
7- You can also take calcium tablets to help your bones build up plus it will save you from glass of milk if you don't like it much.

Sleep:

Sleep is very important factor to determine your activity status, take good sleep, more work the body does,more sleep it needs to rebuild itself and regain it's energy reserves, don't deprive your self from rest period.


What to expect:

Things are not expected to change in a snap, your body will take time to build itself strong to coup up with your highly active job but immediate measure like Breakfast and food changes , will make you feel better and with time you will start feeling at ease.But you have to stay consistent and actively make an effort to change your life style for better.
