Brief Answer:
Early signs of Osteoarthritis. Needs lifestyle modification, Physiotherapy

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Thanks for the query.

I hope you can answer a few questions for me to be in a better position to help you.

Do you have pain in knee while squatting ?

Is the pain more on the inner side of the knee?

Have you sustained any trauma to the knee, any recent increased activity like jogging or gymming?

It is possible that you may be having early signs of arthritis of the knee, which is common by this age. This can cause pain on squatting, climbing stairs, cross leg sitting.

You can apply warm packs to the knee, thrice a day. You can take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for 5 days after meals and Tablet Ranitidine 150mg twice a day for 5 days before meals. Avoid long distance walks, jogging or running for a while. Avoid the above says activities as well.

Eat healthy, keep well hydrated. Exercise daily to remain fit.

Try the above remedies for a week and get an Xray of your knee and review with me.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Regards,

Dr. Aashish Raghu
