Suggest Treatment For Keratoconus Disease
Question: Dear Doctor
My name is XXXX, i am 36 year old male.
I was diagonised with Keratoconus in 2004 (when i was 24) and doctor suggested me RGP lenses, since my left eye has more progression, in 2007 i underwent CXL and in 2015 for my left eye i started using XXXXXXX k lenses and still for my right eye i am using normal RGP lenses, yesterday i met my doctor again he suggested me to do CXL in my right eye and after some time repeat CXL in left eye, also he mentioned no progression for last two years, but compared to 2007 there were progression in both the eyes.
I went for second opinion to new doctor he suggested to do cxl with intacts, now i am confused whether to do cxl or with intacts

Brief Answer:
Hard contact lens is an option. Refractory surgery will not help
Detailed Answer:
It is a congenital problem and hard contact lens is the only option. Should have given visual status of both eye. Refractive surgery is not posible. Refraction can be done and best posible cylindrical correction can be given for which patient is more comfortable and accept it. Best vision possible should be maintained. Cylindrical correction is also an option.
