Brief Answer:
you should

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

a fractured rib, unless there are complications from the lungs (like injury to the lungs with shortness of breath and pain with breathing movements), may cause pain but there is no treatment for it. You just wait until it heals.

If the rib is fractured in more than one locations then you may get into trouble. Thus, you'd better find out what happened.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
