Suggest Treatment For Inflammed Acne Lesion

Question: Hello I had a zit under skin put prid on it then it formed a whitehead that popped it has been oozing all day and is really red sore and hurts bad can you help?

Hello. Thank you for writing to us.

I have reviewed the Image. It is an Inflammatory Acne Lesion. Refrain from manipulating it further

I suggest an Oral antibiotic e.g Amoxicillin Or Ampicillin Or Cepalexin, thrice daily for 3-5 days.
Topically you may use either fusidic acid 2% cream Or nadifloxacin 1% gel, twice daily.

An OTC painkiller e.g ibuprofen, twice daily will provide you symptomatic relief from pain and discomfort.
