Suggest Treatment For Hip Pain And Dull Back Pain

Question: THanks for the reply.
My wife's pain is mainly in the hips on both sides, not so much in the back. The pain does not radiate down the legs. When I rub her in that area of the buttocks with MSM cream, she is quite sensitive and is in some pain at all times, pain I am sure is partly caused by the protuberance.
I still need to know about the abdominal protruding caused by the vertebrae compaction. It is considerable about 9 to 12 inches and is painful at the bottom. What can be done for this?

I sent you her latest MRI on her back. Did you receive?

Brief Answer:
Pain in hips is due to osteoporosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain mainly confined to both the hips is likely to be related to osteoporosis. Specific medicines like bisphosphonates can help her. It can be postural also due to protuberance of the abdominal wall. If the bulge is prominent- 8-9 inches then it needs to be corrected surgically. Only physiotherapy will not help her.
Vertebral compaction may cause a nerve root compression and weakening of the abdominal muscles. You need to consult a surgeon to find the cause of the protuberance.

In regards to your last statement, what surgical procedure is required for abdominal protuberance, and how would they go about repairing this?

Brief Answer:
Procedure is decided after a physical examination.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The surgical procedure chosen depends on the extent of protuberance and the general condition of the patient. Zerona laser treatment can also help her. The procedure can be decided only after a physical examination. You can consult a good plastic surgeon for evaluation.
Hope my answer is helpful.
