Question: My husband has 3 major health problems. Twice he has been asleep and I have walked by him and his shoulders and arms were shaking all over. It is like he has a high temp or is freezing to death. I'll ask him if he needs a blanket and he tells me yes. This afternoon his entire body was shaking as if he was freezing coming out of a freezing pool. His hands, arms, legs, shoulders were all shuddering. He wasn't running a fever yet he is shaking like he is. What could this be? Should I be worried?

Brief Answer:
An infection to consider.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

An infection ( urinary tract infection for example ) may cause sudden shaking.

So, it is necessary an evaluation by your husband's Doctor and by tests ( blood tests about infection levels, urinalysis, sputum examination, etc.) in order to get a correct understanding and treatment.

If there will be high temperature, and shaking episodes become more frequent, you shouldn't wait till tomorrow to see your husband's Doctor.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Kind regards.
