Brief Answer:
Diabetes/Metabolic syndrome with fatty liver

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Good day,
Noted your question and blood and urine reports.
The reports shows that you have diabetes, with an Hba1c: 9.8%, Fasting sugar of 223, Elevated CRP, Elevated GGT and ALT ( liver enzymes) and high cholesterol.

This shows that you have diabetes and metabolic syndrome. The elevated liver enzymes may be due to deposit of fat in liver ( fatty liver).

Before commenting further, I would like to ask few questions
1) Did you ever have high sugar or cholesterol in he past?
2) your weight and height?
3) Any family h/o Diabetes or high cholesterol or heart disease ?
4) Your alcohol intake and smoking status?
5) Exercise?
6) Are you on any medicines now? ( including homeo/Ayurveda)

I would appreciate a reply. This will help to advice you further

Regards
Binu

Brief Answer:
Need treatment for diabetes and cholesterol.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thank you for the reply. It means that you have diabetes now.Hba1c is high which means that, diabetes is present for many months now. Your lipid profile is high.
This means that, you have metabolic syndrome. You should start exercise and try to lose couple of kilos of weight. The altered liver functions is most likely due to fatty liver which is usually associated with this kind of diabetes. It will improve once your diabetes and cholesterol improves and after you lose weight. You need an ultrasound of liver.

Start atleast 30 minutes of brisk walking daily in the morning.
You will need medicines for diabetes and cholesterol.
I would recommend Glycomet SR 500 mg once at night to start with. Along with that, start on Atorvstatin 10 mg at night( Storvas 10 mg ). Fish oil capsueles twice a day also is good to improve fatty liver and high cholesterol.

Brief Answer:
Reduce carbohydrates

Detailed Answer:
No they aren't too bad. But you need an utrasound of liver. Once you start regular exercise and weight loss, it might take 3 months to imorove. Reduce the intake of carbohydrates like rice and wheat. Reduce vegetables like potato but Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables and other vegetables. You may use 2 fruits a day. EAt fish (baked or grillled) and reduce fatty food.
